Writing
In 1993, Coral’s marriage ended. Out of this situation and the subsequent building of new personal relationships, she and publishing colleague Paula Wagemaker co-authored the book Recycled People: Forming New Relationships in Mid-Life
It was the first full-length book I had ever been involved in writing, and it made me realise writing was something I really wanted to do. Like many women, I found that employment and motherhood [Coral has two adult sons, Francis and Patrick] made it impossible to find adequate time for creative work. In the late nineties, with my sons growing up, I finally found I had the time; I began writing short stories and was fortunate to win some competitions.
